Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (Livermore, CA) –LLNL is located 45 miles southeast of San Francisco, California, is a nuclear weapon research and development laboratory. It provides technical expertise to support stockpile stewardship and management, including consulting on the surveillance and dismantlement of nuclear weapons. Most defense nuclear activities are conducted in the Superblock complex, which includes the Plutonium Facility and the Tritium Facility.
